Hi everyone. My name is Eric Olson and I work on the Publisher Services Team at FeedBurner. We are responsible for recruiting new publishers, being a point of contact for all of our 350,000 publishers, and advocating for our publishers internally– whether it be for new features they want to see, or simply for support issues they need resolved. We also write a blog called the Publisher Tips Blog. The blog provides useful tips on a regular basis to help publishers get the most out of the tools FeedBurner offers.

    Payback on Wikipedia

After Wikipedia´s decision to add rel=”nofollow” attribute on all external links of their articles, many blogs and sites had pronounced in support or protest. The attribute in question makes the presented links to be ignored by the search engines, not indexing it and in consequence reducing the ranking on Google.I was wondering an efective way to make a protest and I thought about something interesting. What about payback on Wikipedia? It´s simple, just add attribute nofollow on all your links to this site, giving them the taste of their own poison.

To avoid too much work on searching and replacing text on your blog, I developed a simples plugin named Add Nofollow based on the simple and efficient structure of Identify External Links plugin and giving away freely to anyone who wants to protest, like me.

So, click here and payback on Wikipedia.
