Australian fans have been just as welcoming as their UK counterparts when it comes to the Kings Of Leon. The band toured Australia in March 2009 playing to sold out arena crowds in each city - over 150,000 Australian fans got to witness the incredible energy of a Kings of Leon show live. Their 4th studio album, "Only By The Night", released in Australia on September 20, 2008, debuted at #1 in the ARIA album charts and spent a total of 12 weeks in the top spot, 7 of those which were consecutive. To date, "Only By The Night" has sold over 600,000 copies certifying it 8 x Platinum and was the biggest selling album of 2008 in Australia and the biggest selling digital album in ARIA history. Kings of Leon have been on a headlining arena tour of the United States for several weeks, with one week left, and the response has been fantastic. The Dallas Morning News called the live show "alluring, yet explosive, youthful yet seasoned", while the Minneapolis Star Tribune said that the band "never sounded any better".
