This recording displays the consummate percussionist Billy Cobham and his band Glass Menagerie, featuring Michal Urbaniak on violin and saxophones, guitarist Mike Stern, Gil Goldstein on piano and bassist Tim Landers, performing a blend of fusion and more mainstream jazz.
Billy Cobham has been on the international scene for more than 30 years and has become a legend for his matchless skills on the drumset and as composer and bandleader. He is one of the few percussionists specializing in the Jazz drum set to lead his own band.
This DVD continues the series of legendary live jazz recordings, which has already seen the release of concerts and sessions with Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Dave Holland, Lionel Hampton, Archie Shepp, Art Blakey, Stan Getz, Oscar Peterson, Stéphane Grappelli, Cedar Walton, Gary Burton, Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, Gil Evans, Eliane Elias, Horace Silver, Ahmad Jamal, Paco de Lucia, Bobby McFerrin, McCoy Tyner and Joe Zawinul.
