Scattergram after scattergram is presented, with target populations circled or highlighted in color. This approach quickly educates the reader to zeroing in on key diagnostic patterns.

The CD-ROM contains 100 case studies - flow cytometry plus Wright-Giemsa stained aspirate smears with or without H&E biopsy preps. Throughout the book there are references to the relevant case material on the CD-ROM. The disease discussions nicely summarize conventional versus aberrant flow cytometric findings by various disease states. The updates in this edition include the use of TCR-Vb reagents for diagnosing mature T-cell disorders, and the uses of DRAQ5, a DNA dye, for improved lymphoma grading.
