This is a story of how one woman sought the light amid the multi-layered darkness and discovered her power to break free from a toxic relationship, love herself as much as others, heal her heart wounds, and thrive on every level of her being.

Stephanie persevered and rose above her childhood hardships to achieve her dreams despite being a teenage mother, and the continuous, painful presence of betrayal that plagued her marriage. She shares her story to encourage women and men to identify any darkness within their relationships; acknowledge any contribution to it; seek the light when the layers of darkness first unfold; and then take the steps needed to dispel it.

Stephanie Luckain-Foust is a Critical Care Registered Nurse with over twenty-three years of nursing experience. She currently oversees the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Brookdale Hospital, a level one trauma hospital in Brooklyn, NY.
