Alexander Benedict Cummings Jr. (born 7 December 1956) is a Liberian politician, businessman, and philanthropist. He is the Standard Bearer of the Liberia's Alternative National Congress party. Cummings was born in Monrovia Liberia, he studied at one of the country's oldest highest institutions of learning, Cuttington University College in Liberia before leaving for the United States to further his studies at the Northern Illinois University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics. While in the United States, he earned a graduate MBA in Finance from Clark- Atlanta University.

Cummings worked for over 40 years in international business. He retired from Coca-Cola Company as its Chief Administrator in 2016, after a twenty-year-long career with the organization. During Cummings’ time as Coca-Cola Africa’s President, he oversaw the creation of The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation in response to the growth and impact of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. In 2001, the Foundation established an extensive healthcare program for Coca-Cola workers affected by HIV/AIDS and related conditions across Africa, in addition to supporting HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness throughout local communities. Today, The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation is the largest regional foundation within Coca-Cola’s global network with a focus on clean water, health education, and entrepreneurship. Since 2001, it has granted more than $100 million to support sustainable communities in Africa.
Before joining Coca-Cola, Cummings served in a variety of roles for The Pillsbury Company. He currently serves as Chairman of the Cummings Africa Foundation. Mr. Cummings believes that Africa must own its achievements and failures and take responsibility in telling our story and creating innovative ways to address Africa’s enormous problems. As an international business executive for over 20 years, he wants to bring about a profitable business mindset and values to address Liberia's problems by listening to the customers who are the Liberian people and gaining their trust and supports
