Thirukkural written by Thiruvalluvar is a world famous Tamil literature. Through the intersection of caste, ethnicity and language, " Pirappokkum Ellaa Uyirkkum" is the living equality of all equals by birth, Virtues, Wealth, Love Life all three of them as a biographical treatise. In a nutshell, the inexplicable microcosm of the book is a world-wide beacon that anyone can ever accept, guiding morality as a beacon of life and time.
It is one of the most translated non-religious works in the world. Even though it is a translated text in most languages, I have combined the pronunciation of Tamil with English transliteration and translation (meaning) in Tamil, English and Hindi. Morality in the mind has the desire to spread the world over. This is a small effort that our task should be a drop of rain that mixes with the sprawling mission.
Since we have in mind that the language should not be imposed, the Hindi-speaking people should feel the need to act on its way of virtue as in Thirukkural. I have incorporated the transliteration in English in the sense that others should read and understand the Thirukkural pronunciation as in Tamil, the world's first old language


திருவள்ளுவர் இயற்றிய திருக்குறள் உலகப்புகழ் பெற்ற தமிழ் இலக்கியமாகும். சாதி, இனம், மொழி கடந்து "பிறப்பொக்கும் எல்லா உயிர்க்கும்" குறள் மூலம் பிறப்பினால் அனைவரும் சமம் என்ற உயரிய சமத்துவத்தை வலியுறுத்தி அனைவரும் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளக் கூடிய அறம், பொருள், இன்பம் என முப்பாலால் ஒரு வாழ்வியல் நூலாக மக்கள் தம் அகவாழ்விலும் இன்பமுடனும் இசைவுடனும் வாழவும், புற வாழ்விலும் கூடி நலமுடனும் வாழவும் தேவையான அடிப்படைப் பண்புகளை விளக்கி, சுருங்கச் சொல்லி விளங்க வைப்பதில் ஒப்புயர்வற்ற நுண்மாண் நுழைபுலம், எழில் நயத்துடனும், உயிர்ப்புடனும் காலங் காலத்திற்க்கும் கலங்கரை விளக்கமாக வழிகாட்டி அறநெறி புகட்டும், எக்காலமும் எவரும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள பொருந்தும் இந்நூல் “உலகப் பொதுமறை” எனப் போற்றப்படுகிறது.
உலகில் மிகவும் அதிக மொழிகளில் மொழிபெயர்க்கப்பட்ட மத சார்பற்ற படைப்புகளில் ஒன்றென சிறப்பைப் பெறுகிறது. அதிக மொழிகளில் மொழி பெயர்க்கப்பட்ட நூலாக இருந்தாலும் தமிழ் மொழியின் உச்சரிப்பை ஆங்கில ஒலிபெயர்ப்புடன் தமிழ், ஆங்கிலம், இந்தி ஆகியவற்றில் வெளிவந்த உரைகளையும் இணைத்துள்ளேன். குறள் கூறும் அறநெறி உலகமெலாம் பரவுதல் வேண்டும் என்ற வேட்கை மனதில் உண்டு. குறள் பரப்பும் பணி கடலளவு என்றாலும் அதில் கலக்கும் மழையின் ஒரு துளி போலாவது நம் பணி இருக்க வேண்டும் என்ற சிறு முயற்சியே இத்தொகுப்பு.
எம்மொழியும் விரும்பி ஏற்க வேண்டும் திணிப்பு கூடாது என்ற எண்ணமே எம் மனதில் இருப்பதால் இந்தி பேசும் மக்களும் குறள் நெறி உணர வேண்டும் அதன் வழி நடக்க வேண்டும். உலகின் முதன்மையான மூத்த மொழியான தமிழ் மொழியில் உள்ள திருக்குறள் உச்சரிப்பும் மற்றவர்கள் தெரிந்து புரிந்து படிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற உணர்வில் ஆங்கிலத்தில் ஒலிபெயர்ப்பு ( Transliteration in English ) இணைத்துள்ளேன்.
