A Blessed Life: The Autobiography of James E. Hoyle (English Edition)

I grew up in “southeast” Dallas near the current “State Fair” grounds. As a child, I walked with my mother eight miles to attend church. I attended public schools in Dallas, completed one year of college and went on to complete other “trade” schools. My training prepared me to eventually build a large “electrical” company with over fifty employees and staff.
While building the Dallas based electrical business, I felt God leading me to give “our house” to the ministry of Dallas Teen/Life Challenge. As part of my commitment to God, I served in various capacities at my local church as well as “serving” on the Teen Challenge board for twenty years and making many financial and “time” contributions to that ministry.
After selling my electrical business, I traveled for over ten years in the “RV” ministry. My wife Virginia, my son Paul, and I traveled throughout America “wiring” churches, dormitories, and Teen Challenge type facilities. I served the local church as Royal Ranger Senior Commander and Area Commander for over fifteen years coupled with serving as a church board member for over forty-one years.
Throughout my life, I have always had compassion for the poor and hurting. I tried to give my time and talents in God’s service. God was faithful and blessed my efforts financially and I supported the church and missions with my tithes and offerings. I traveled to the Philippines, speaking and sharing God’s love to small and large gatherings throughout the islands.
My life was not always easy. Throughout the pages you will experience with me the good times and tough times. I know the pain of having an absent father, having a child die as a young adult, and a “ranch” accident which injured my “left hand”, requiring five surgeries. These things were not easy to overcome. The injury limited my ability to play the guitar in church and for personal enjoyment. However, God still gave me a song. In the back of the book, you can read my songs, poems, and stories. It is my hope that you will read these and be blessed. My life is a good example of how God can bring someone out of poverty into a life filled with riches.
