Maya Plisetskaya - Diva Of Dance

Maya Plisetskaya, considered to be the twentieth century's greatest dancer, has achieved the most prestigious position that an artist in this speciality can ever achieve: Absolute Prima Ballerina.
She created her own style which is characterized by a brilliant technique, elegance, perfection of each individual gesture and pose, always in combination with her beautiful dramatic art and extraordinary musicality.
Plisetskaya performing excerpts from a dozen of her greatest roles, created by many of the world's famous choreographers like Roland Petit and Maurice Béjart, from Ballets like Raymonda, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, a mesmerizing performance of The Dying Swan and acomplete performance of the Bolero.
In an rare interview, Plisetskaya talks about her life and her unique career in Communist Russia.
Her 80 th birthday in November 2005 has been celebrated with Gala Events at The Met, The Bolshoi Theatre and in February 2006 at Covent Garden.
