Why more than 99% of the people sleep during 3 to 5 AM? Why it is a special time for Saints and other Spiritual seekers? Why it is told that dreams that are seen during this time becomes a reality? Why in most temples, the Deity is woken up during this time?

These are some of the questions which always intrigued me right from the childhood. I read one article written by a relative after her trip to the abode of Lord Shiva, the Kailash Manas Sarovar. She has written that during this time of Brahma Muhurta, i.e. around 3.30 am, literally she has witnessed all the celestial beings like stars, planets up in the sky descend down slowly one by one and take a dip in the holy Manas Sarovar and slowly move back up into the sky once again. There are many other such incidents narrated by many after their trips to high Himalayas and other powerful spiritual places.

In most Hindu temples, the priests start the day with the Kakadarathi or similar rituals where they wake up the Deity by singing and praying to the Deity. Suprabhatha Darshana (Early morning visuals) of Lord Venkateshwara of the famous Tirupati temple is one of the most revered Darshana for Hindus.

But the question is why during Brahma Muhurta?. I have tried to collect as much information as possible in this book to answer this question. Let me at the outset accept that unlike my other books whose intellectual property I own, the information you find in this book doesn’t belong to me and I have only tried to put together all that I can about Brahma Muhurta. It is only a sincere attempt aimed at collecting all the related information from various sources.

However, I have tried to explain both the scientific and the spiritual aspects behind this most auspicious period called Brahma Muhurta.
