SYNOPSIS

Can Davis succeed in his task of finding the answers to his life’s most distressing questions: Who killed his father? Why was he killed? Well, motivated by his doctor lady love he is determined to brace himself for more uncertainties and the horrendous eventual outcome.
In the ancient village of Karuvankode, among the members of his own rudderless tribe, which leads a degraded and a sinful life, Davis and Nisha wander quite clueless to reach the bottom of his mystery.
When the dazzling light of their relentless effort is finally focused on the much awaited truth, it shows a perverted Catholic priest and a pristine exorcist. Who always is attentive on how he can be helpful to all who need solutions.
Well, to speak more straightforward way, Chacko, a Dalit Christian is looked upon as a messiah for many as he redeems many lives from horrendous situations with the help of his reptile friend, a king cobra. But the local Christian priest considered it to be satanic and pagan. Chacko seemed to know more about the immoral practices of the priest. So the priest succeeded in getting Chacko arrested on charge of murdering a pious nun. With the help of his police officer brother, the priest succeeded in getting Chacko tortured to death in the police station. His wife Celine commits suicide as her attempts of freeing her husband from the clutches of the law fails, though she was promised by the investigating officer in this regard, in exchange of the sexual service. His son, Davis, had to be gone from the village to a far off town. The son later protected and educated by his uncle, studies journalism and becomes a noted investigative journalist.
His lady love Nisha prompts him to find the truth behind his father death. He journeys into different places and meet people who might have been connected to the life of his father.
The novel ends with the disquieting discovery which shows the players behind his father’s death.
