When Giving Becomes Easy (English Edition)

The kernel of this book is charity motivated by love. It draws attention to the virtue of sacrificing a piece of one’s heart to satisfy loves mandate in service to God and to humanity.
Once one accepts Christ and seeks to be Christ-like, one no longer seek to gratify the flesh but rather, pour oneself out to honour God and to please Him. This is achieved by the new attitude of giving to expand the mystical borders of God’s kingdom on earth. It is God’s will that all of humanity come to the knowledge of truth that brings freedom and gives life everlasting. Every Christian, young and old, man and woman, poor and rich, the healthy as well as the infirmed are potential participate in the effort to propagate the good-news about God’s divine purpose. This duty is served by acts of charity and none of us lacks something to give. Some are blessed with material things like money, houses, land, cars etc while others are endowed with ideas, talents, energy, connections and even spiritual abilities. All these are given by divine grace to enhance the spread of the Good-news of God on earth.
Giving is one of the most misunderstood and sensitive matters in the church as many church people and observers miss the fundamental value and purpose of giving in the Christian life. To some people, it is even an annoying issue more so that many Christians do not fancy the thought of giving out. Many would rather be the receiver than the giver which is why the Bible would draw attention to the fact that it is more blessed to give than to receive. The matter is made worse by the poor method with which some church leaders and teachers approach the subject. Knowing how inflammable the issue is, the church leaders and Christian religion teachers ought to be sincere and wise in guiding the people towards understanding what, why, where, when, how, and who to give. Their primary duty is to guide and encourage but not to be deceptive, coercive, extortive or threatening to get the people to give. Once the people understand the essence of giving, the act of dipping the hand deep and offering to the church and neighbor with a cheerful heart will be simple.
Giving is an imperative that gives meaning to life. God gave us life that we too may give life, first to oneself by the surrendering of one’s own life completely to God and accepting the new one He offered through the sacrifice of His one and only son Jesus Christ. Secondly, is to animate the spiritual life of our neighbours in accordance with God’s injunction to love the neighbour. How can we express our obedience and reverence to God and our love to neighbours? We can only do so by offering something either to the church organization dedicated to evangelization and apostolic work or to the persons nearby who are in need.
Giving enriches the life. It pleases God and unlocks the chest of blessings for the giver. Do not be afraid to give in the house of God and in obedience to Him because the secret of divine abundance is not the primitive accumulation of material wealth nor a stingy attitude but the sharing of whatever one has for evangelical work and for enriching other people. Whenever one gives, one enriches one’s own life and also impacts a life nearby or far away. On the other hand, the lack of giving shuts the door of blessings and makes one even poorer, furthermore it hurts a life nearby or somewhere around the world.
The mentality of poverty makes some Christians to think that resources are scarce and will not be enough to share with others or that one must become extremely rich before one could give out. You do not have to be rich to give and do not be afraid that you will become poor by giving out, God’s storehouse can never be depleted or empty. His bottle of oil will never run dry and we can always come to Him for more provided we are faithful in that which is entrusted to us. Give not because you are rich but because you love.
A Christian need not to fear when giving.....
