Recorded live at the Jazz Open Festival Stuttgart in 1994, this evening of jazz rock and fusion features three excellent musicians: the Norwegian Terje Rypdal, the Czech Miroslav Vitous and the Indian Trilok Gurtu.
The trio's own compositions fuse subtle Indian rhythms with elements of modern jazz and rock. The DVD captures the live atmosphere and the interaction between the three musicians as well as drawing close to each when they are playing solo.
In the run up to spring 2006, TDK will issue ten selected repackaged titles from their Jazz catalogue. The new TDK Jazz DVDs will include live recordings of the Dave Holland Quintet, Billy Cobham's Glass Menagerie, Gil Evans and His Orchestra, the Modern Jazz Quartet's 35th and 40th Anniversary Concerts, The Band from Utopia, World of Rhythm and ESP2.
